Emei Mountain is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. Located in the southwest of Emei, Sichuan. "Emei County Records" says: "The clouds are beautiful and green, and the makeup is far away. It is really like a cicada's head moth, thin and long, beautiful and gorgeous, hence the name Emei Mountain. " According to legend, it is the Dojo of Samantabhadra, and Buddhism believes that Samantabhadra symbolizes virtue and virtue. It is a dual heritage of world culture and nature, a demonstration site of national civilized scenic spots, a national 5A-level scenic spot, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China and a scenic spot in Sichuan Province.
Mount Emei is located in the southwest edge of Sichuan Basin in China, and it is the remnant vein of the southern edge of Qionglai Mountain. It originated in Emei Plain, extending 23 kilometers from north to south, with an area of about 154 square kilometers. Emei Mountain is mainly composed of four peaks: Da 'eshan, Er 'eshan, San 'eshan and Si 'eshan, and its jinding is 3079.3 meters above sea level.
The geographical environment of Mount Emei:
Mount Emei is located on the southwest edge of Sichuan Basin in China, between 2916 ′-29 43 ′ north latitude and 0/0310 ′-103 37 ′ east longitude. It is the remnant vein of the southern section of Qionglai Mountain, rising from Emei Plain, and the mountain is north and south. The hydrogeological position of Emei Mountain belongs to the Da (Dujiang) Qing (Yijiang) water system, and there are five natural rivers in the territory: Emei River, Linjiang River, Longchi River, Shihe River and Huaxi River.
Huaxi River is on the northwest border of Hongya County. The other four originated in Emei Mountain and flowed into Dadu River and Qingyi River in the east, south and southeast directions respectively. There are Emei River, Linjiang River and Longchi River, with a drainage area of about 100 square kilometers. Emei Mountain Scenic Area is located in the upper reaches of Emei River, Linjiang River and Longchi River. The main rivers are Wenfu River, Hongxi River, Zhanggou River, Yaner River and Xishi River.
