In recent years, Shengyuan's research and performance of Bach's works have attracted the attention of the international music community. American The New York Times said, "Mr. Sheng Yuan's performance has considerable power, but he carefully controls this power. His prelude and fugue in A major and A minor in the first volume of Bach's Average Piano Music Collection are clear, balanced and coordinated models. But this does not mean that these two pieces of music are flat but not carved: Mr. Sheng Yuan turned the prelude in A minor into a fiery drama, while fugue was full of exuberant spirit, and the voice was well grasped, which was amazing, as if it were the sound of joy from another world. " After playing Bach's concerto in Germany, the local media wrote: "When playing Bach's concerto in D minor, Mr. Shengyuan's performance has proved his master style, not only because of his flexible finger skills, but also because of his perfect cooperation with the band." From July to 20, 200910, Shengyuan held five solo concerts of Bach's keyboard works and five Bach-themed lectures in Beijing Zhongshan Concert Hall. Bach's album and Chopin's album recorded by Shengyuan were published by China Record Company.
