As Zhang's good friends, they all participated in the editing work of Zhang's Jiayin magazine. They met because of Zhang, and Li Dazhao's Worldweariness and Conscience is a response to Chen Duxiu's article Patriotism and Conscience. In Chen Duxiu's view, "China has not formed a national outlook, and its citizens have not formed a sense of patriotism. The future of the country is dark, and China might as well die. " Li Dazhao wrote an article in which he gently criticized: "There are too many world-weary words and too few golden mean", calling on Chinese people to cheer up and stick to their patriotic beliefs, and should "seek a lovely country and a loving country". Chen Duxiu founded "New Youth" magazine in Shanghai on September 19 15, 2005, and initiated the new culture movement. After the failure of the Great Revolution, Chen Duxiu left the leadership post in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he moved to a remote village in Jiangjin, Chongqing, and died on May 27th, 1942.
