2. I will take Beijing Workers' Home as an example to explain in detail:
Beijing Workers' Home is a social welfare institution serving migrant workers. On May 1 2002, founder Sun Heng and his partners initiated the establishment of the first youth art troupe of migrant workers in China, and used their spare time to perform for workers in construction sites, factories and communities. So far, they have performed more than 500 performances with an audience of over 200,000.
In 2005, the Art Troupe released its first album "Working in the World is a Family", and with 75,000 yuan as the starting capital, it established a school for children of migrant workers: Picun Tongxin Experimental School in Jinzhan Township, Chaoyang District. At present, there are nearly 500 students, all migrant children from all over the country.
In 2006, they initiated the establishment of a concentric mutual benefit public welfare store, all of which are second-hand idle items donated by all sectors of society, which can not only reduce the waste of social resources, but also help the families of poor workers in the community to reduce their living costs. At present, seven concentric reciprocal public welfare stores have been opened.
In 2007, they also initiated the establishment of the first national museum of migrant workers' culture and art, hoping to record the historical changes of migrant workers' culture and advocate respect for labor value.
