(1) Before applying for consular certification from our embassy or consulate, the relevant documents should be notarized at the local certification institution in Italy.
Italian certification bodies: provincial capitals and procuratorates in Italy.
(2) filing an application
The parties concerned may personally or entrust others to apply for consular certification at our embassies and consulates abroad.
The parties concerned shall fill in the Application Form for Notarization Appraisal item by item as required, and sign or fingerprint at the corresponding position.
(3) Submission of materials
1. Fill in a complete notarization application form;
2. If my valid passport or other valid identity documents are applied by an agent, a copy of the agent's identity documents and the party's identity documents shall be submitted;
3. One original and one copy of the application for certification.
(4) Inspection by consular officials
If the consular officer considers that the documents applied for certification meet the requirements after examination, he shall issue a certification certificate within five working days from the date of acceptance.
The time required for supplementary certification materials, asking China to verify the situation, force majeure and other reasons is not counted in the above period.
If the notarization of marital status used for marriage registration is more than 3 months from the date of notarization, the parties need to re-apply for notarization and certification; Notarial certificates of marital status, health, property, income and no criminal record for adoption in China shall be notarized from the date of notarization to the date of application for adoption registration (excluding the trial time of China Adoption Center), and the notarization time shall not exceed 6 months.
