Buckling restrained brace

Buckling-restrained brace is a kind of brace member composed of core material, sleeve which restricts the buckling of core material, unbonded material between core material and sleeve and filling material. This kind of support has the same bearing capacity and energy dissipation mechanism as ordinary support in tension.

According to the different requirements of stiffness, bearing capacity and energy consumption in structural design, TJ buckling-restrained braces can be divided into three types: energy consumption type, load-bearing type and buckling-restrained brace dampers.

TJL-type energy-consuming steel coupling beam (two-step buckling) is used to replace the traditional concrete coupling beam in concrete coupled shear wall, which can greatly improve the stiffness, bearing capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the coupling beam. It can be designed into bending energy consumption type, shear energy consumption type and bending-shear energy consumption type according to needs, and the yield time can be controlled. It can be replaced after the earthquake.

TJEL eccentric beam section

TJEL eccentric energy dissipation beam section is used to support steel frame structure instead of traditional eccentric energy dissipation beam section. It can be designed into bending energy consumption type, shear energy consumption type or bending-shear energy consumption type according to needs, and has the advantages of strong energy consumption capacity, controllable yield opportunity, and replacement after earthquake.

Viscous damper

Viscous damper generally consists of cylinder, piston and viscous liquid. The cylinder is filled with viscous liquid, usually silicone oil or other viscous fluid, and the piston is provided with a small hole. When the piston reciprocates in the cylinder, the liquid passes through the small hole on the piston, damping the relative motion between the piston and the cylinder, thus consuming vibration energy. Viscous dampers are speed-dependent energy dissipators.

Tuned mass damper (TMD) is a vibration system composed of spring, damper and mass, which is generally supported or suspended on the structure. When the structure vibrates under external excitation, it drives the TMD system to vibrate together, and the inertial force generated by the TMD system reacts on the structure, so that it can tune the vibration of the main structure, thus reducing the vibration response of the structure.
