Please provide some information about Pei Jiaqin, the translator of Anna karenin.
Pei Jiaqin, 1932 was born in Chengdu, Sichuan. I used to do Russian literature research and translation in the Institute of Foreign Literature of Beijing Foreign Studies University. He used to be the deputy editor-in-chief of Contemporary Soviet Literature and Soviet Literature, and a member of translators association of china and Foreign Literature Society. His translations include Tolstoy's anna karenine, krylov's Complete Fables, Chekhov's Complete Novels (Volume IV), simonov's Stalin in My Generation's Eyes, Conan Doyle's The Forgotten World and many others. 1995 moved to the United States and is now a freelance writer for many Chinese newspapers in North America.
