Cai Feng Mountain Villa
Year: 1920
Venue: Shanghang Road, Taijiang District, Fuzhou
Introduction: Yang Hongbin (1884 ~ 1974), a patriotic overseas Chinese leader in Malaysia, was founded in 1920. It consists of gate, square gate, zhaobi, courtyard, main building and garden. The main building is equipped with an open gallery connecting the north, east and west. With reasonable layout, unique style, exquisite materials and classical furnishings, it is an outstanding representative of modern villa architecture in Fuzhou.
It covers an area of more than 2,000 square meters with a building area of 524 square meters. The gate faces the narrow Shanghang Road, which is neither gorgeous nor conspicuous. There is a slope 60 meters long and 5 meters wide at the entrance to the square. The partition walls on the east and west sides of Ma Dao are two money houses opened by Yang. From the back door, you can enter the main building and auxiliary slope of the villa-"Ma Dao", which is meters long and 5 meters wide until the entrance of the Fang Dao. The east-west partition of Ma Dao is two money houses opened by Yang, and the main building and annex building of the villa can be accessed from the back door.
Entering the gate of western-style square, there is a wide platform, which consists of gardens, rockeries, courtyards, pavilions and pavilions. More than ten steps from the platform is the main building of the villa. Sitting north facing south, its plane layout is inverted "concave" shape, the east and west wing rooms are octagonal, and an open corridor is connected with the main building, which is composed of upper and lower floors; The first floor is 0.8 meters overhead, which is convenient for ventilation and avoids humidity. There is a half-moon balcony on the second floor of the wing. Most of the roofs are sloping roofs, and a small part are platforms.
The facade decoration of the whole building is simple and lively. The upper parts of doors and windows imitate the classical flower patterns of China, the lower parts are ordinary glass windows, and the outer layers are equipped with shutters for shading. The living room floor is paved with waterproof tiles, the second floor is wooden floor, and the interior is equipped with classical wardrobe corner columns. Floor tiles and wood for building are shipped from overseas. The wall is specially made of bricks, with the words "mining peak" on it, showing the elegance and style of the villa building.
Villa architecture combines western architectural technology with China classical architectural decoration, and introduces reinforced concrete technology. Composite materials such as steel bar, cement, brick, stone, wood and I-beam are widely used in buildings, which solves the technical problems of large span and large cantilever of buildings. In addition, the layout of the villa integrates the main building with gardens, lawns, flower beds, rockeries, pavilions, courtyards, large fish tanks, stone chairs, tables and platforms, making the living environment elegant, quiet and spacious. The existing furniture in the villa, such as screens, plush chairs, arhat beds, dressing tables, flower stands, coffee tables, etc. , using high-grade wood, beautifully made, various and rich in style, representing the home style and scientific and technological characteristics of modern Fuzhou.
