Yesterday, as a part of central Hangzhou, the reconstruction project of National Highway 104 (Yuhang East-West Expressway Ground Road Project) from Hangzhou to Shaoxing Highway (Yuhang Liangzhu-Chongxian) started construction.

This is another important node of Yuhang East-West expressway (viaduct) crossing Ning Hang high-speed rail bridge after the completion of the pouring of Block 0 of the main bridge of 180m long-span steel-concrete mixed variable cross-section continuous beam.

After the project is completed, citizens in Chongxian, Liangzhu, Renhe and other areas in the north of Hangzhou can directly enter the elevated road to the future science and technology city, Linping vice city and other places through this road, without worrying about the traffic congestion of the ring expressway and the Shugang expressway.

National Highway 104 is an important road in Hangzhou, and Yuhang East-West Expressway surface road project is the reconstruction project of the old road of National Highway 104.

The route is basically laid along the current 104 national highway. The starting point is located at the intersection of the existing 104 national highway and Shugang Avenue in Liangzhu Street, and it passes through Liangzhu, Renhe and Chongxian from west to east along the existing 104 national highway (Shugang Avenue), and the ending point is located in Chongxian Street, which is connected with Shugang in Yuhang section of Qiu Shi Expressway.

The total length of the route is 15.4km, with 7 interchanges. Adopt the standard of two-way six-lane first-class highway, taking into account the functions of urban roads. The design speed is 80 km/h, and the width of auxiliary lanes on both sides of the roadway is 42 meters. The construction period is expected to be two years.

Simultaneously with this project, the Yuhang East-West Expressway Elevated Project started at the junction of Chongxian Street and the main urban area of Hangzhou, connected with Yuhang section of Qiu Shi Expressway, and finally reached Yuhang Street in the west of Yuhang District.

Passing through Chongxian Street, Tangqi Town, Renhe Street, Liangzhu New City, Cang Qian Street, Future Science and Technology City, Yuhang Street and other places.

This project will widen the existing roads Shugang Avenue (National Road 104) and Dongxi Avenue (National Road 320), and build viaducts on them to form a rapid traffic passage.

The viaduct is 26.5 meters wide, of which the bridge from Renhe Ramp to Central Interchange and Wen Yi West Road Interchange to the south of the city is 33.5 meters wide, with a total length of about 34 kilometers, which is a first-class highway standard with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It is expected that 202 1 will be completed and opened to traffic.

The ground road project of Yuhang East-West Expressway and the elevated project of Yuhang East-West Expressway are both part of Hangzhou Central, which means that some sections of Hangzhou Central are expected to be completed and opened to traffic next year.

Hangzhou Central is a free expressway in Hangzhou metropolitan area. The existing national highways 104, 329 and 320 are mainly used for the construction of the whole line.

The central route starts from Hezhuang Street in the industrial cluster area of Dajiangdong in the east, passes through Shaoxing, Xiaoshan, Fuyang, Yuhang and Haining, and finally returns to Dajiangdong to form a loop.

The construction of Hangzhou Central will jointly expand the urban spatial development pattern and open the urban development framework with Hangzhou Second Ring Road.

The road network inside and outside Yuhang District is relatively perfect, but there are problems of high accessibility and low smoothness in the internal road network, and there is a lack of fast skeleton roads between the main and auxiliary areas and between regions.

After the completion of Yuhang East-West Elevated Road and Ground Road Project, it will make up for the shortage of East-West Expressway in Yuhang area.

Mr. Ding, a citizen who lives in Liangzhu, said that his home is in Liangzhu and he works in Linping. At ordinary times, he can only go around the city or port from Liangzhu to Linping. Once there is a traffic jam around the city, it will seriously affect the traffic and be late for work, so he gets up an hour early every day.

"After the completion of the east-west elevated ground road, I can go up and down the elevated road directly and quickly through this road. Suddenly I feel that Linping is also' close at hand'. " Mr. Ding said.
