Consultation objective: The two sides agreed on a clear consultation objective. Short-term goal: be brave in contacting the society and establish good interpersonal communication. Long-term goal: to promote self-exploration and self-development of help seekers.
The specific psychological method of psychological counseling: systematic desensitization, also known as interactive inhibition, was founded and developed by American scholar Volpa. This method is mainly to induce patients to slowly expose the situation that leads to anxiety and fear neurosis, and to fight this anxiety through psychological relaxation, so as to eliminate anxiety or fear. If the anxiety or horror caused by a stimulus is within the range that the seeker can tolerate, he will no longer feel anxious and afraid of this stimulus, and the treatment goal will be achieved.
Systematic desensitization therapy should include three steps:
1. Establish a hierarchy of fear or anxiety. This step involves two things:
(1) Find out all the events that make the seeker feel scared or anxious.
(2) Arrange the horror or anxiety events reported by the seeker in order from small to large.
2. Relax training. Generally, you need 6- 10 exercises, lasting half an hour each time, 1 2 times a day, so that the whole body muscles can quickly enter a relaxed state.
3. System desensitization exercise: (1) Relax. (2) Imaginary desensitization training. (3) field adaptation training.
Evaluate the effectiveness of consulting and evaluation methods;
1. Evaluation time of consultation effect: (1) Start 1 consultation or multiple post-evaluation; (2) evaluation before the end of the consultation; (3) Evaluation during follow-up review after consultation.
2. Method of evaluating the counseling effect: (1) Evaluate the psychological test results before and after counseling; (2) Evaluate according to the self-report of the helper; (3) Assess according to the reports of family members, friends and colleagues; (4) According to the change degree of social life adaptation of help seekers; (5) According to the consultant's observation on all aspects of the help-seekers, evaluate them.
