Wenshan College was founded in 1947. Its predecessor was the National Southwest Normal School, which was moved from Zhaotong, Yunnan to Wenshan. Its development has gone through several stages: Wenshan Normal School, Wenshan Renmin University, Wenshan Normal College and Wenshan Normal College. In 2009, the school became a full-time undergraduate college.
Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Communications
It is the only public full-time transportation vocational college in Sichuan Province, which is affiliated to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation.
