Shenzhen polytechnic, founded in 1993, is one of the earliest independent higher vocational and technical education institutions in China. Since the establishment of the Institute, people in vocational colleges have worked hard to innovate teaching concepts, school-running system and mechanism, and personnel training mode, creating a number of firsts in China's higher vocational education.
Relying on the industrial development of the Pearl River Delta, adhering to the spirit of reform and innovation of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, the school insists on taking moral education as the fundamental task of school education, and based on the school-running characteristics of the integration of production and education in vocational education, the school has made remarkable achievements in various undertakings, and is known as the "banner" of higher vocational education in China.
The school has 17 secondary colleges such as electronics and communication engineering University, and teaching units such as Sports Department, Industry Center and International Education Department, with 80 enrollment majors. There are 22,750 full-time students in the school, including 79 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, 284 students from four-year higher vocational colleges, 292 applied undergraduate students and 0/27 foreign students. There are 3536 students in self-run college education.
