Pixar, formerly known as "Industrial Light and Magic Company", was founded by george lucas, the director of Star Wars, and was later sold by george lucas to Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, and changed to Pixar, and signed a prohibition contract, which meant that Pixar was not allowed to make non-animated films, so Pixar could only make cartoons.
DreamWorks is a film company founded by Spielberg, not just an animated film company. It has nothing to do with the first two.
When Pixar was founded in the early days, Disney co-produced cartoons because of financial problems, that is, Disney paid Pixar's creative talents, and Disney tried to allocate them and then divided the money.
