I. Training objectives
The major of product design is to train applied talents who can engage in design, management, scientific research or teaching focusing on product innovation in enterprises, institutions, professional design departments and teaching and scientific research units, and can also engage in visual communication design, information design, environmental facilities design or display design related to product design.
Second, the teaching staff.
There are 12 teachers in this major, including 3 teachers with senior titles, 3 doctors and 8 masters. Seven teachers have the practical ability of field design and serve as design directors or designers of many companies. In recent years, it has been approved as a provincial-level excellent course, a provincial-level first-class undergraduate course and a teaching reform practice project of the provincial education department. Teachers have won more than 80 prizes in various competitions, including the third prize of the fourth national young teachers' teaching competition in colleges and universities 1, and the first prize of the second young teachers' teaching competition in colleges and universities in Hebei province 1.
Third, the main courses
Industrial design history, product design methodology, product design renderings, ergonomics, cartography, model making and technology, product design-related software, basic methods and other basic theoretical knowledge, furniture theme design, product theme design, product design semantics, Chinese and foreign arts and crafts history, modeling foundation, composition (plane, color, three-dimensional composition) and so on.
