The Historical Evolution of Fangxia Town

The town is named after the government stationed in the local village. According to Fang's genealogy, Fang moved here in the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, formerly known as Fang Zhuangzi. The surname of the rear is Jianyi mansion, and the name of the party is already the name of the village. After homophonic, it becomes a square.

In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Nanxiang Xinzhuang, Fangxiabao and Xixiang Qiubao. In the early years of the Republic of China, it was called the tenth district.

194 1 year belongs to Fangxia District and Luxi District of Laiwu (North) County. 1945, the two areas merged, called Luxi District.

It was renamed fourth area on 195 1. 1955 10 was renamed as Luxi District.

Fangxia North Street, Fangxia South Street, Xiejiaguanzhuang, Hanjiaguanzhuang, Jiajiaguanzhuang, Hejiaguanzhuang, Fengdeng Guanzhuang, Shiquan Guanzhuang, Longquan Guanzhuang, Qijiaguanzhuang, Xueguanzhuang, Taitou, Langouya,,, Qiaojiayi, Goutou, Tieniuling, Qiu and Liu. There are 55 administrative villages, including Yehe, Shenjialing, Tulou, Liujiamiao, Fangzhaozhuang, Shijiafangxia, Wangjiafangxia, Gujiataizi, Anjiataizi, Longkou East, Longkou West, West wulongkou, Lijiadianzi, Luxi, Shiqiaozi, Daxinzhuang, Xiaoxinzhuang, Lujiazhuang, Xuxiaowa and Sima River, and 60 natural villages.

In 2002, it covered an area of 67.6 square kilometers and a population of 59 198, and governed 5 administrative districts, 55 administrative villages and 60 natural villages.
