The National Engineering Research Center for Traffic Safety Emergency Information Technology is led by China Traffic and Communication Information Center and jointly established by Wuhan University of Technology, Jimei University, China Communications Waterway Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. and zhengzhou yutong Bus Co., Ltd.. The research direction of the laboratory is to combine the development status of China's safety emergency information technology and the actual application needs of the industry as a research.
The structure of the National Engineering Research Center for Traffic Safety Emergency Information Technology is 1+4+3, which consists of 1 basic research laboratory (safety emergency basic technology research laboratory), four technology research and development laboratories (maritime satellite safety emergency technology research and development laboratory, distress safety and search and rescue technology research and development laboratory, hazardous chemicals transportation safety supervision technology research and development laboratory, and ship safety operation support technology research and development laboratory) and three engineering simulation test platforms (mobile satellites).
