Tianshui is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province, located in the southeast of Gansu Province, adjacent to Guanzhong Plain. It is an important node city of Guanzhong plain urban agglomeration and a sub-core city of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone. Tianshui was once called Lu 'an, Ji Cheng and Qin Zhou. It is said that it is the birthplace of Fuxi and Nuwa, one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, and is known as "the hometown of Huang Xi". There are national, provincial and municipal key protected cultural relics 169 in China, among which Maijishan Grottoes, a world cultural heritage, is one of the four largest grottoes in China and is known as the "Oriental Sculpture Art Exhibition Hall".
