Rocket Force University of Engineering is a multi-arms professional institution of higher learning in the Rocket Force, a "double-qualified" institution of military construction, and one of the first batch of doctoral, master's and bachelor's degree awarding units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. It undertakes the sacred mission of training key officers and future leaders for the strategic missile force, and is known as the cradle of Chinese strategic missile force officers.
The school was originally a military academy to train junior commanding officers of ground artillery. 195 1 year 1 month, the artillery training regiment of the northwest military region merged with the field artillery corps of the first field army and was reorganized into the artillery school of the northwest military region. 1951March was renamed the First Artillery School of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. 1956 was renamed Xi 'an Artillery School of China People's Liberation Army in February.
