Shen Chang expressway has a total length of 3,585 kilometers. Construction started at the end of June, 2006, and was opened to traffic at the end of June, 2009 (the whole line was closed to traffic), with four lanes in both directions and a speed limit of 120km/h (local area 100km/h).

Shen Chang Expressway from Zibo Gaoqing to Dongying Guangrao was opened to traffic at the end of 20 19.
The starting point of Gaoqing-Guangrao section in expressway, Shen Chang is located in gaoqing county, Zibo City. It is connected with Binlai Expressway through Pengjiashunyu Interchange, passes through Binzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Boxing County to the east, and ends in Guangrao County, Dongying City, and is connected with Wurong expressway New Zhuangzi Hub Interchange.
The total length of the route is 54.4 kilometers, with a total investment of 4.592 billion yuan, four lanes in both directions, and the design speed is 1.20 km/h, with Xiaoqing River Super Bridge 1 seat, five interchanges, separated interchanges 1 seat, service area 1 seat and parking area/kloc.
The total length of the project in Dongying City is 19.953 km, all located in Guangrao County, starting from the junction of Boxing County and Guangrao County in the west and reaching the New Zhuangzi Interchange in the east, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 20 19.
On the basis of the construction of Gaoqing-Guangrao section in expressway, Shen Chang, the Municipal Transportation Bureau actively coordinated the Provincial Department of Transportation, Qilu Transportation Development Group and cities along the route to speed up the preliminary work of Jinan-Gaoqing-expressway.
Jinan-Gaoqing-expressway passes through gaoqing county and zouping county of Binzhou City in the southwest, turns south about 9 kilometers east of Jinan Airport, crosses Xiaoqing River, crosses Qing Ji Expressway east of Tangwang Junction Interchange, and connects with Dadonghuan section of expressway around Jinan, with a total length of about 94 kilometers and a total investment of 654.38+02 billion yuan.
It is planned to start construction at the end of 20 19, and it will be completed and opened to traffic on 202 1.
After the completion of the above two expressway projects, they will be connected with Wurong Expressway to the east, forming an east-west fast lane from Weihai to Jinan via Yantai, Weifang, Dongying, Zibo and Binzhou, effectively alleviating the traffic pressure of Yin Qing Expressway and Dong Qing Expressway, and becoming a fast lane connecting Dongying and Jinan, which is of great significance for Dongying to integrate into Jinan metropolitan area and promote economic and social development.
