Hunan Urban Construction Vocational and Technical College is a state-owned public full-time ordinary institution of higher learning, located in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, the hometown of the great man Mao Zedong. Our hospital was formally established in April 2003 with the approval of the provincial government and the record of the Ministry of Education. Among them, architectural design technology, town planning, engineering cost and architectural engineering technology are provincial-level teaching reform pilot majors, and four professional fields, such as architectural construction, architectural decoration, architectural equipment and architectural intelligence, are the national training bases for skilled talents in the construction industry, and material engineering is the national training base for talents in the building materials industry. At present, there are nearly 8,000 full-time students in the college, and students are studying in nearly 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
There are national vocational skill appraisal institute, college English grade examination, computer grade examination and computer information high-tech test sites, as well as Hunan construction industry R&D center, Hunan construction education and training center and Liancheng poetry education center of Hunan Poetry Association. At the same time, entrusted by the Provincial Construction Department, our institute also undertakes the task of compiling the outline of the qualification examination for junior professional and technical positions in civil engineering in the province and making test papers.
Due to the emphasis on improving the quality of education and teaching, the trained talents are generally well received by employers. The enrollment area of our college has expanded for three consecutive years, showing a good momentum of paying equal attention to enrollment and employment. In the past three years, the average enrollment rate of freshmen was 86.4%, and the average employment rate of graduates at the end of that year was 9 1.79%.
Through the unremitting efforts of the whole hospital, our school-running level has been improved to a certain extent, and its social influence has been expanding.
