Shenzhen Vocational College of Information Technology was established in April 2002. It is a public full-time institution of higher learning approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. The school is now a national model (backbone) higher vocational college, a national model software vocational and technical college, and a pilot institution of the "Sino-German Vocational Education Automobile Electromechanical Cooperation Project" of the Ministry of Education. At present, there are three national teaching resource banks for higher vocational education (including 1 optional projects). The school has a modern, ecological and informational campus, covering an area of 926,000 square meters (1.389 mu) and a building area of 588,600 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment in the school is 367.8636 million yuan, and the library has 1.3 1.33 million books.
