Brief introduction of Qingdao revolutionary martyrs memorial hall
Qingdao Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is located at the southern foot of Taiping Mountain in Shinan District of Qingdao, facing the sea, surrounded by mountains and waters, with pleasant scenery. The memorial hall was built in 1977 and opened to the public in June. It covers an area of 53.79 mu with a total construction area of 4050 square meters. The main memorial buildings for martyrs in the museum include the Martyrs' Deeds Exhibition Hall, Martyrs' Ashes Hall, Martyrs' Monument, Martyrs' Tomb Area, Mountain and River Soul Martyrs' Sculptures, Liufang Pavilion and so on. It is the only large-scale memorial exhibition hall in Qingdao that comprehensively displays Qingdao's revolutionary history and heroic spirit.
The Martyrs Exhibition Hall is divided into three exhibition halls: the main hall, the west hall and the east hall. It is located in Zhong Ping Square and Shanping Square, and it is shaped like a "needle" by the mountain. The exhibition hall comprehensively and systematically displays the major historical events of Qingdao's revolution, construction and reform and the heroic deeds of 100 famous martyrs.
In the center of Zhong Ping Square, there is a group sculpture of "the soul of mountains and rivers" martyrs. The group sculpture is based on Deng Enming, an important representative of the Party and founder of Qingdao Party Organization. Representatives of workers, students, peasants and child laborers stand side by side, symbolizing the magnificent revolutionary struggle of the unyielding Qingdao people under the leadership of the Party, and also symbolizing the heroic achievements of sharing weal and woe with mountains and rivers and sharing glory with the sun and the moon.
On the left and right sides of the memorial hall, there are tombs of martyrs and martyrs' monuments with the names of 17 157 martyrs on them. The Martyrs' Ashes Hall is located on the right side of Shangping Exhibition Hall, where the ashes of 185 martyrs are stored. Liufang Pavilion is built on the hill on the right side of Shaping Square. Its style is simple and elegant, and its name was inscribed by the famous calligrapher Wu Zhongqi.
Since its establishment, the memorial hall has been devoted to the collection, research and publicity of martyrs' cultural relics, deeds and spirits. At present, it has more than 0/000 pieces of cultural relics, more than 9,000 books and nearly 5 million words of relevant research materials, and receives more than 200,000 visitors from all walks of life every year. The memorial hall has been successively rated as a national key martyrs memorial building protection unit, a national patriotic education demonstration base, an education base in party member, Shandong Province, a national defense education base in Shandong Province, a spiritual civilization unit in Shandong Province, an excellent place for social studies for minors in Qingdao, and a practice base for moral construction of small citizens in Qingdao, which has become the main position for encouraging education and spiritual civilization construction in Qingdao.

Reservations are required in advance. During the epidemic, the Qingdao Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall did not accept non-reserved audiences.
