The core idea of life-oriented education

"Life" means the existence of life. What is "the presence of life"? For example, about "modesty". If someone writes a book about modesty, after writing it, ask someone to spread it around and let the media hype it, saying how brilliant the book is, how unprecedented it is, and how it will never come after. People who "talk about modesty" like this are not modest at all. When he talks about modesty, he means that life is not present, and modesty has nothing to do with his living conditions. Of course, true modesty is not the kind of behavior that deliberately wants to leave a modest impression on people, but should be a natural expression of life perception or spiritual realm. Laozi said: "virtue is not virtue, but virtue;" There is virtue without losing it, and it is not virtue. " This is the present and natural truth of life. Let me give you another example. What is life? You can listen to it as a little joke. If someone wrote a multi-volume book "On Silence is Golden", think how funny it would be. The author advocates that "silence is golden", but he proves it with a multi-volume masterpiece. His life is completely out of touch with his point of view, that is, life is not in the present. Laozi advocated "teaching without words". He wrote the 5,000-word Tao Te Ching, only "strongly" (reluctantly) to "speak" for it, and at the beginning, he said something like "Tao can be said and unusual", reminding you never to get stuck in the word "Tao" in your real life to understand "Tao". Zen has always attached importance to understanding nature in real life, so it advocates "no writing" and never takes tedious and intellectual speech as an ability. I say this about Laozi and Zen, not to convince everyone of Laozi's theory or Zen, but to show that "living" means that real life practice is consistent with what practitioners say and believe, that is, the truth they believe is vividly displayed in their own lives.

Let me give you an example, such as art, painting, any kind of painting, painting has never been learned from reason; If you educate yourself according to the truth, or read a few books about calligraphy, it is suspicious to learn calligraphy. In fact, the real training of calligraphy is the imitation of classic calligraphy, to understand and comprehend. Once in a postgraduate class, I asked the students in the class before the preface what it meant to read 300 Tang poems, and said,' You can recite without writing poems'? Graduate students strongly disapprove. As a result, a student stood up and explained that you recited 300 Tang poems, and you can recite several fluently even if you can't write poems. This explanation is tasteless. In fact, these two sentences are very meaningful, meaning that the method of writing poetry is not to tell people the truth of writing poetry, and the truth of writing poetry will never be understood. Tang poetry is a glorious period in the history of China's poetry. You often recite, ponder, ponder, and naturally arouse the poetry in your heart. Over time, you will naturally write. This is the profound meaning of these two sentences. Writing poems in words is also good. I don't know his experience in writing poems, but he can't refute my remarks. I don't think he learned to write poetry by listening to any poet or literary theorist. If our education is simple, it can be summarized into two kinds: one is truth education and the other is example education. Learning calligraphy and painting begins with understanding, which is of course the most worth understanding. This kind of education is called model education. Truth education is feeble in the humanities. If Li Bai and Du Fu are asked to talk about the experience and truth of writing poems, I believe people will not be able to write poems after listening to them. Writing poetry is not good, just like computer operation. With training, you can operate the program if you are familiar with it. The computer can operate according to the program, but not writing. Chinese teaching is a model teaching to a great extent, and the truth will eventually fall on the model education. Even model education is of great significance to science. Scientific discovery is usually illogical, and it seems that scientific truth is very logical and organized. But after careful pursuit, the first proposition of the real scientific system, as an irreversible proposition, was illogical and illogical for a time, and to some extent, it was an epiphany. This is also an example education. No scientist can deduce his own theory from others' theories. Einstein's scientific theory can never be deduced from Newton's mechanical theory. The history of science is not only a history of pattern replacement, but also a procedural history of scientific thinking paradigm. No two of our calligraphy and painting are the same. We can judge the depth of their skills and artistic level, and there is an aesthetic standard that we can agree with. Humanistic things rely on truth education only as an auxiliary means, and ultimately rely on example education. A clever Chinese teacher instructs students to write: 1. Face life. Let the students experience life personally and speak their psychological words kindly. 2. Face the classics. Look at the fine products of ancient and modern China and foreign countries. It's incredible that other people's works are written after listening to some truth without reading them! Laozi's Tao Te Ching begins with two sentences: "Tao is extraordinary; It can be said that the Tao produced is by no means the kind of Tao I pursue. What is said is by no means the best truth. Due to the limitation of language itself, we often can't approach the truth of things with the help of form and structure, and the truth of things needs life to witness and experience. Carpenters teach apprentices nothing more than how to use axes and saws, but the subtleties of using axes and saws are still unable to communicate. If we teach people to walk a tightrope, the tightrope walker is nothing more than saying that the body should be balanced and the center of gravity should fall on the silk thread. But after listening to the truth, we still can't walk well. This is not a matter of truth in itself, but a kind life experience. Defining life is one-sided. The language that can tell the truth is pale, and the pallor of language is only the goodness of life. For example, you use many good words to describe one dish, but it is difficult to describe another dish, and it is difficult to tell the difference. When it comes to love between men and women, no woman likes you because you talked about the experience and realm of love, sometimes it is love at first sight. No one finds a lover by reason. Therefore, "Tao is extraordinary" is a wise saying. The so-called model education is to objectify his inner life state through his behavior (imitating and understanding their life state with our life state, being realized by my life, and then objectifying my life feelings).

The calligrapher behind got the true biography of the calligrapher in front. What they write is different, and spiritual inheritance is a strange thing. So we teach students not to teach routines. The students here are rigid in thinking. Routine makes students learn quickly, but it quickly kills inspiration. Smart Chinese teachers teach children the courage to experience and speak. Another point is to face the classics. Example education is related to the concept of duty, so it is not easy for us to be teachers. Our every move is a role model for students, who imitate you all the time. The teacher's actions, the expression on her face and the writing posture on the blackboard all affect the children. In a sense, I'm not only talking about Chinese or math classes, but also about people being models. The most essential implication of normal university is that "teachers are role models, role models and models", and parents are the earliest role models for children. A colleague said that his children are stupid and always give candy to the whole class. I say this is a virtue, don't teach children to be selfish. Because selfishness is not limited to what parents expect, it always carries out consistent logic. Your parents made the model, and he will imitate it in the future. Teachers are sacred in the eyes of children. Model education is the translation of life and the alienation of spirit. Everything is new to children, such as Nietzsche's Holy Start. Teachers have a profound influence on children's minds. Models are the inheritance of spiritual temperament and a kind of sentimentalism.
