The average annual rainfall is 947.4 mm, with precipitation mostly concentrated in the flood season and little rain in winter.

The asphalt materials in this contract shall be uniformly purchased by the owner, and the cement shall be qualified materials that meet the requirements of the bidding documents and approved by the supervision engineer. The coarse aggregate of asphalt pavement adopts basalt yard in Jiuli Town of Emei Mountain or Shawan District of Leshan City, and the fine aggregate adopts machine-made sand specially processed with pebbles in Leshan High-tech Zone yard. The coarse aggregate used in the middle and lower layers is crushed gravel with the particle size larger than 8cm in the material yard of Leshan High-tech Zone, and the fine aggregate is machine-made sand made of pebbles and stone chips formed during the processing of coarse aggregate in Leshan High-tech Zone. The coarse and fine aggregates of base, subbase and cement concrete are crushed gravel, stone chips and machine-made sand made of pebbles with a particle size greater than 5cm.
