Parr's structural composition

The shape is diverse, with significant differences in different regions, and the shape is similar to that of Dong Pipa. The piano body is made of a whole piece of locally produced safflower cherry wood, rhododendron rosewood, nanmu, Sang Mu, Toona sinensis wood, catalpa bungeana wood or other hard miscellaneous wood, and consists of * * * resonance box, piano head, piano stem, chord, bridge horse and strings (as shown in the figure). Due to the different circulation areas, the specifications and sizes of the piano are different. The total length of the piano body is generally 50 cm ~ 80 cm, but some are the smallest, only 30 cm long, while the largest can reach more than 100cm, and the most common is 60 cm ~ 70 cm long. * * * There are many kinds of sound boxes, such as oblate, oval, rectangular, oblate pear-shaped, oblate trapezoid (quadrangular arc), oblate gourd-shaped, hexagonal or octagonal, but they are rare. The piano frame is made of hard miscellaneous wood, and the front is covered with soft thin boards such as paulownia, spruce, cedar and Korean pine. The panel is fixed with bamboo nails and glued with pig glue or fish glue. There are several small circular sound holes in the middle of the panel, which are arranged in a symmetrical geometric figure. The piano box is 20 cm ~ 30 cm long, 0/5 cm ~ 25 cm wide and 5 cm ~ 8 cm thick. The piano head is mostly flat shovel-shaped, the upper part is slightly wider, and it bends backward, with the angle not exceeding 45 at most. Some are square columns with flat tops, and some are carved with animal heads such as birds, dragons, tigers, cows, chickens or fish, but they are rare. There is a rectangular chord groove in the middle, and four wooden chord shafts (two on the left and two on the right) are arranged on both sides. The shaft handle is conical, square and flat. The length of the piano rod varies, with the upper part being narrow and the lower part being wide. The upper end is provided with a mountain pass, and some lower ends are connected with the piano box into a whole. The flat fingerboard on the front face is tasteless. The bamboo long bridge is placed in the middle and lower part of the panel. Zhang has four strings. Brown silk, ponytail or catgut thread were first used, and now steel wire or nylon thread is mostly used. Lisu people use local materials to make various parrs. In Longling, Dehong Prefecture, Parr is oblate, and the circumference of the piano box is exactly the same as the length of the piano rod. So in Qibue here, the piano box with a long piano body is also big, and the piano box with a small piano body is also short. Mangkuan and Baoshan areas in Baoshan area are mostly Qibu geese, with a length of 70 cm and an oval box.

Qibue, a Lisu nationality, has rough and bold lines. Each piano is equipped with a colorful band, which is tied between the chord groove and the piano tail, which is not only convenient for playing, but also plays a role in beautification and decoration. Straps are often woven with various colored cotton or silk threads, and both ends are decorated with loose whiskers, brush whiskers or bubble balls, especially the ornaments tied to one end of the piano head are more dazzling, showing the exquisite weaving skills of charming women. In Longling area of Dehong Prefecture, suspenders made of red, white or blue and white silk are widely used.
