In this case, you can prepare a complaint, evidence materials and other filing materials to apply to the people's court for filing.

Some courts can obtain local identity information on the spot according to the filing materials. For example, the Futian District People's Court in Shenzhen can find the identity information of the defendant at the procuratorate to file a case.

Some courts or arbitration institutions will issue supplementary materials notices/letters of assistance in investigation/contact sheets for assistance in inquiry/other supporting materials (subject to the specific practices of each unit), indicating the inquiry subject and the inquired person, and go to the household administration department of the local public security bureau to inquire about population information.

2. Know the name and current address of the defendant.

Now the general residence will be registered in the grid, and it is sometimes more convenient to hold the defendant's residence information. For example, the defendant's household registration is in other provinces, but his habitual residence is in Shenzhen, and the plaintiff is also in Shenzhen. You can bring a lawsuit in Shenzhen court. You can apply to the court for proof materials to obtain residence information, or you can entrust a lawyer to obtain it.
