There are two international airports in Shanghai, namely Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located in Changning District, Shanghai, about 13 kilometers away from the city center. Pudong International Airport is located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, about 30 kilometers away from the city center. Most international flights are concentrated here.

Airport traffic
Rail Transit: Metro Lines 2 and 10 can reach Hongqiao Airport Terminal (Line 2 can only reach Terminal 2, and Line 10 can reach Terminal 2).
High-speed rail: Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 is connected to Hongqiao Railway Station, and you can walk to or take Metro Line 2 and 10.
Bus: Hongqiao Airport can take ground bus to and from Zizhu Science Park, Jiading West Station subway station, Pudong Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Yan 'an East Road Bund, Lupu Bridge, Qingjian New Village, Shanghai Zoo and other urban areas. Taxi: The taxi pick-up point is located on the arrival floor of 1 terminal building, and the south side of Gate 4 on the arrival floor (ground) of Terminal 2.
Long-distance bus: Hongqiao Airport has opened long-distance passenger lines to surrounding cities such as Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi and Zhangjiagang, and you can transfer at Hongqiao Hub West Transportation Center.
Shuttle: Provide free shuttle service for passengers between 1 terminal and Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2. The waiting stations are 1 Terminal (the first and last buses are at 6:00 and 22:30) and Terminal 2 (the first and last buses are at 6:00 and 23:00).
Pudong International Airport: Located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, about 30 kilometers away from the city center.

Passengers can take rail transit line 2, maglev train, near 10 airport bus lines or taxis to and from Pudong airport and urban areas.
Maglev: When the maglev train arrives at Longyang Road Station, you can transfer to Metro Line 2, Line 7 and 16. The whole journey takes about 8 minutes, and the one-way fare ranges from 50- 100 yuan.
Airport bus: Airport bus can reach Hongqiao, Jing 'an Temple, Wujiaochang, People's Square, century avenue, Lujiazui, Xujiahui and other urban areas in all directions. Please refer to official website for specific flight and fare information.
Taxi: The starting price during the day is 14 yuan, and the starting price at night is 18 yuan.

Hongqiao Railway Station: Most of Shanghai's high-speed trains stop at Hongqiao Railway Station, which is also the busiest high-speed railway station in China. The station has realized zero transfer with planes, buses, long-distance buses and subways, and buses can go directly to all railway stations.
Shanghai Railway Station: Shanghai Railway Station is one of the railway stations with the largest passenger flow in Shanghai and the starting point of Shanghai-Nanjing intercity. Trains originating from Shanghai Station go to all parts of the country, including express trains and bullet trains that go directly to Beijing and Tianjin, and express trains that go directly to Hong Kong.

Shanghai has a well-developed road traffic network, and cities along the route have long-distance buses to and from Shanghai.
There are many long-distance bus stations in Shanghai, mainly including Shanghai Bus Terminal, Shanghai South Bus Station, Shanghai Hongqiao West Bus Station and Wuning Long-distance Bus Station.
Shanghai coach station: most of the coach stations are urban shuttle buses, and there are many through trains to Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the fares are very cheap. The traffic around it is very convenient. Shanghai Railway Station and Rail Transit 1, Line 3 and Line 4 are on the east side of the main station. More than 20 bus lines in the city are distributed in the east, west and north directions of the terminal.
Shanghai Long-distance Passenger Transport South Station: Most of them are city express trains to Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Passengers going to these three provinces and cities can choose to leave from South Station. Long-distance buses heading for Ningbo via Hangzhou Bay Bridge can buy return tickets at South Station.
Shanghai Hongqiao West Railway Station: one of the "four main passengers" of Shanghai long-distance passenger transport, located at Hongqiao transportation hub, a first-class passenger station, mainly engaged in trains bound for some provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui.
Wuning Long-distance Bus Station: Mainly engaged in long-distance passenger buses in Yanfu, Jiangsu, Huanggang, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Sichuan and other places. The vehicles are all domestic or imported luxury express buses updated in the past two years.
Ship Shanghai currently has two international passenger terminals, namely Shanghai Port International Passenger Center and Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. The route direction can reach Japan, South Korea, Taiwan Province Province, Europe and Southeast Asia; Domestic and Dalian, Ningbo, Hankou and other ports open to navigation.
Shanghai Port International Passenger Terminal: Shanghai Port International Passenger Terminal is a comprehensive business development project integrating cruise terminal and business office, with flights to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan Province Province, Hong Kong, Europe, Southeast Asia, Dalian and Qingdao in China.
Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal: Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal is located in the waters of Fort Province along the Yangtze River coastline in Wusongkou, Shanghai, where the Yangtze River, Huangpu River and Zaobang meet. It is one of the busiest international cruise home ports in Asia. It has opened flights to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, America, the Middle East, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and the polar regions.
Arrival and departure-self-driving
It is quite easy to drive to and from Shanghai, which is the starting point of many expressway and national highways. You can travel to and from Shanghai via expressway and National Highway.
Within the city, vehicles from other places are not restricted. Except from Monday to Friday (7:30-9:30 am, afternoon 16:30- 18:30), vehicles with internal and external license plates are not allowed to get on the Inner Ring Road Elevated, Zhonghuan Road Elevated, North-South Elevated and Yan 'an Road Elevated during peak hours.
If you stay for a short time, the vehicle user will attach a sticker of 30 yuan to you at the expressway toll station and stick it on the front windshield for seven days with the original and photocopy of valid documents such as vehicle driving license, owner's ID card and vehicle production certificate, as well as the wheel license to be obtained when entering Shanghai (within seven days). It is forbidden to drive into the inner ring elevated during peak hours.
