The difference between affordable housing and public rental housing

Every city will have low-income families with housing difficulties. The government has provided some targeted security policies, including affordable housing and low-rent housing. The difference between them lies in different definitions and different objects. What is the difference between affordable housing and public rental housing?

1, different definitions:

Affordable housing is affordable housing, which refers to the housing provided by the government for low-and middle-income families with housing difficulties with limited standards, limited prices or rents. Generally, it consists of low-rent housing, affordable housing and policy rental housing.

Public rental housing is public rental housing, which refers to providing rental housing to low-and middle-income families with housing difficulties at market rental prices through the government or institutions entrusted by the government. At the same time, the government issues the corresponding standard rental subsidies to the rented families on a monthly basis.

2. Different audiences:

Public rental housing is for low-and middle-income people, new employees and migrant workers in this city. Its purpose is to solve the housing difficulties of low-income families whose family income is higher than the standard of low-rent housing but unable to buy affordable housing. Low-rent housing is aimed at low-income people with local permanent residence and housing difficulties.

3. Different forms of protection:

Public rental housing is funded by the government, and eligible people can apply for occupancy, but they are not allowed to sublet, transfer or give away. There are two forms of security for public rental housing, one is low-rent housing, and the other is rent subsidy for needy households.

What are the application conditions for public rental housing?

1. Have a permanent residence in this city, or hold a Residence Permit and pay social insurance premiums continuously for a specified number of years.

2, has signed a certain number of years of labor or work contracts with the city's employers.

3. There is no self-owned housing in this city or the per capita housing construction area is less than 15 square meters. If it is difficult to get married and live in separate houses, the per capita area may be appropriately relaxed.

4, did not enjoy the city's low-cost housing, affordable housing and other housing security policies at the time of application.

Considering that the public rental housing in this city involves a wide range of people and the income difference is large, there is no income standard in the application conditions for the time being. Each district (county) may formulate specific access standards according to the above basic conditions and in combination with the economic and social development of this district (county), and may adjust them in time. Access standards should be announced to the public, and before the announcement of access standards, it should be reported to the municipal housing security leading group for the record.
