The bridge is a key construction project in Zhejiang Province, designed by China Railway Bridge Survey and Design Institute, supervised by Zhejiang Highway and Waterway Engineering Consulting and Supervision Company, and undertaken by China Port Second Waterway Engineering Bureau and Zhejiang Traffic Engineering Construction Group Co., Ltd.
The superstructure span of the main bridge is a three-span V-shaped rigid-frame composite arch bridge with a span of 50m+ 120m+50m. The superstructure of the approach bridge is a 25m and 40m separated bidirectional prestressed concrete continuous box girder. The width of the bridge deck road is four lanes, with slow lanes and sidewalks on both sides. The bridge is 30 meters wide. According to the design drawings, the earthwork of the approach road of this bridge is 69,940 cubic meters, the concrete of subgrade retaining wall is 4,040 cubic meters, and the asphalt concrete pavement is 17874 square meters. There are 220 pile foundations in the bridge section, and the pile foundation and cap concrete 14067 cubic meters. 128 pier and abutment column (including V-shaped bracket), 5,505 cubic meters of pier and abutment column concrete (including V-shaped bracket and capping beam); Total length of box girder 1066m, box girder concrete 23750m3, asphalt concrete bridge deck pavement 1962m3. The whole bridge needs 555 1 ton of steel bars (including prestressed coarse steel bars), 763 tons of steel strands (including suspenders and tie bars) and 492 tons of steel box arch rib steel plates; In addition, the bridge has 156 supports, 360m expansion joints, 2132m corrugated steel guardrails and 3,486 linear meters of sidewalk railings. The whole section is equipped with lighting and beautification facilities.
