Li Bai worships Xie Lingyun very much and often compares himself with Xie Zi. For example, "Far away from home, I love recreation, and open up a sky for me" (Two Nephews from the Same Family in Dark Mountain Pond, Master Youchang), "Sprinkle Huilian, and my family is called bridled" (Seeing My Brother Off in Jingchuan), "Xing and Xie Gonghe, Wen Yin Zhou Zitong" (Farewell to the Jade Mirror altar in Qingxi) are all self-comparisons. He sometimes compares his friend to Xie: "It's better to thank a guest than to hear a mountain" ("Farewell to a friend's visit to the mountains and rivers of China"), "Travel for pleasure" ("Follow Xie to the Lingyan Temple in Jingchuan"), and even puts on a five-cloud robe embroidered with landscape patterns given by his friend, and naturally thinks of Xie Gong: "I am surprised to thank you for your recreation, and poetry will give birth to my clothes. The forest on the chest is dyed with color, and the clouds on the sleeve gather at dusk "("Reward Yin Zuoming, Give Five Clouds to Qiu Ge "). In Tanaka, the poet is most concerned about Xie's Shimen former residence. After the poem Tian, the poet often compares Xie Zi: "Chen Chu hurts the river wind and picks up the moon" ("Sailing with friends"), "I enjoy leisure, and I sing Qingchuan Night Frost" ("Song of the Old Pavilion") and so on. His praise of the scenery can be said to be a secret.
