The origin of safety month
1980 in April, the State Council approved the establishment of the safety month system, and decided to designate May of each year as the national safety month from that year on, to carry out safety activities, organize safety inspections, and carry out safety publicity and education for the whole people.
After five years of national safety month activities, on April 26th, 1985, the State Work Safety Committee issued the Notice on Carrying out Safety Activities, making it clear that no national safety month activities will be carried out in the future.
