Tianjin University of Science and Technology, located on the Bohai Sea and Haihe River, is a key university jointly established by the central and local governments and Tianjin. It is a multidisciplinary university with the coordinated development of engineering, science, literature, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, law and art. It is a "double-class" university in Tianjin. The first batch has the right to award master's degrees approved by the State Council, and the second batch has the right to award doctoral degrees approved by the State Council.
