Yellow croaker, also called yellow croaker, is the general name of a genus of Crocodile. It was born in the East China Sea of China. Its head has two hard stones called otoliths, so it is also called grouper. The white swim bladder in fish belly can be used as gelatin to stop bleeding and prevent hemorrhagic purpura. Yellow croaker is divided into large yellow croaker and small yellow croaker, which are one of the four major marine species in China.

Pseudosciaena crocea was once one of the important economic fish endemic to China. It is widely distributed in the southern part of the Yellow Sea, from the north to the Leizhou Peninsula in the South China Sea in the Taiwan Province Strait in the East China Sea. It belongs to warm temperate migratory fish and often inhabits the middle and lower layers of offshore waters within 60 meters. The breeding season of Pseudosciaena crocea is spring and autumn. During the breeding season, fish migrate from the distant sea to the offshore in batches. As a precious economic fish, Pseudosciaena crocea has long been favored by consumers, but due to overfishing, its resources are seriously scarce.
