Traditional storage and transportation enterprises are transforming into modern logistics enterprises relying on the original facilities, customers, business foundation and business network, and some large production enterprise groups have set up special logistics departments. Third-party logistics enterprises with a certain technical level and operating scale have also risen rapidly, and geographic information system, global satellite positioning, wireless communication and network technology have been applied in logistics and supply chain management; Logistics distribution centers have also developed to a certain extent, and state-owned, private and foreign-funded logistics enterprises have developed together.

Constraints include lack of basic information, difficulty in data collection, disunity of standards, disconnection between information and business management, imperfect exchange and sharing mechanism of logistics information, urgent need to improve the informatization level of logistics supervision, and lagging construction of regulations, systems and standards for logistics information service industry.
