The National Defense University originated from the Red Army Training Team founded by Mao Zedong in Jinggangshan in 1927. It has experienced the Red Army University of Chinese Workers and Peasants, the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University in the war years and the advanced military academy and military and political university after the founding of the People's Republic of China. 1985, the Military Academy, the Political Academy and the Logistics Academy merged to form the National Defense University.
National Defense University has five disciplines: philosophy, law, economics, military science and education. There are more than 280 professors, researchers, associate professors and associate researchers, including more than 0/50 doctoral and master tutor/kloc.
There are eight colleges under the National Defense University, including 13 for first-class disciplines, 3 for two disciplines, 18 for first-class disciplines and 9 for two disciplines.
