Mirabilis jalapa, also known as rouge flower and thunder flower, is a perennial herb, mostly cultivated as an annual plant, with a plant height of about 1 m. Flowers are terminal, with white, pink, yellow, red, purple and multicolor. Nuts are black and look like minerals.

It is usually cultivated in the open field.
