What is the difference between the isoclinic interference fringes seen on Michelson interferometer and those seen in Newton's ring experiment?
Michelson interferometer sees equal inclination interference, while Newton's ring sees equal thickness interference. The interference fringe width of Michelson interferometer is different, the center of the interference level is the largest and the edge is the smallest, and the interference fringe width of Newton ring is almost the same, while the center of the interference level is the smallest and the edge is the largest. By adjusting the mirror, the center of Michelson interferometer alternately appears bright and dark intervals, and the center of Newton's ring is always dark.
