Jin Xiaotong's growth record

When it comes to Jun porcelain and Jin Xiaotong, we can't help but mention his father, the late famous Jun porcelain artist Jin. Those who really know and love Jun porcelain, if they can collect a few pieces of gold Jun porcelain works, it is a dream and something to boast about.

1962, Jin began to study the art of Jun porcelain, visited the ruins of ancient Jun kiln and collected a large number of Jun porcelain materials. Jun porcelain specimens produced in Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties are readily available, and the specimens of Jun kiln sites all over the country, especially more than 60 kiln sites in Yuzhou City, Henan Province, are well preserved. Jin buried himself in these ancient Jun porcelain materials, accompanied by kiln fire all his life, selfless dedication, regardless of fame and fortune, and his book "Jun Kiln History" independently filled the gap in the history of Jun kilns in China. Mr. Jin's love for Jun porcelain art stems from his understanding of Jun porcelain art, and he advocates the harmonious concept of common development of Jun porcelain family. At the same time, in conjunction with colleges and universities, we will inject fresh impetus into the development of Jun porcelain culture and art from the aspects of modeling, glaze color, material and technology, and practice the concept of "prospering Jun through science and technology".

Under the influence of Mr. Jin Lao, Jin Xiaotong, who worked hard and didn't talk much, followed his father for more than 30 years. Experienced the growth process from apprentice, artist, technician, artist to contemporary Jun porcelain artist. His father's principle of being indifferent to utility and being strict with himself has a subtle influence on his mental journey. In the face of the joy of success, the pain of failure and more hardships, he was willing to be lonely and devoted himself to the exploration and research of Jun porcelain art. When Jin Xiaotong was a child, Mr. Jin insisted that Jin Xiaotong, who was only 14 years old at that time, learn the firing techniques of Jun porcelain small charcoal stoves according to his simple thought of "a fertile land at home and a thousand hectares of land". At that time, Jin Xiaotong went to school during the day. After school, he helped his father burn a small furnace Jun kiln and do a glaze test.

1980, Jin Xiaotong entered Yuxian Jun Porcelain Art Factory, studied under Mr. Wen, and studied Jun Porcelain kiln firing technology. With the recruitment of Jun Porcelain Factory No.2, he entered the factory as an apprentice. The following year, Henan Arts and Crafts Society held a ceramic design training class in Shendong, and Jin Xiaotong was lucky enough to be selected. At the end of the training course, Jin Xiaotong's Portrait of the General in Liangshan Park 108 was praised by Mr. Xu Guozhen. After Mr. Xu's strong recommendation, he entered the design room of Jun Porcelain Factory No.2 at that time to design Jun Porcelain products. In Jin Xiaotong's view, without this precious learning opportunity, it would be impossible to engage in the later artistic creation of Jun porcelain. Whenever this matter is mentioned, what Jin Xiaoyun often says is: Teacher's kindness. In the process of Jin Xiaotong's growth, he has been cared for by many experts and leaders. While appreciating Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works, President Yang Zhihai of China National Light Industry Federation prefaced his ceramic monograph. Yang Zipeng, president of China Arts and Crafts Society, showed great care for Jin Jun porcelain. He strongly recommended it to the contestants of the Hong Kong International Ceramic Art Competition and wrote the name of the factory for him personally.

Lu, curator of China National Museum, taught Jin Xiaotong earnestly, which pointed out the direction for his creation.

Yan, president of China Collectors Association, directed Jin Xiaotong's creation of Jun porcelain many times and wrote an inscription for it: Jin Jiajun Porcelain, National Treasure.

Fu Hewang, vice chairman of China Ceramic Industry Association, is very concerned about and loves the development of Jin Jun porcelain, and often personally guides Jin Xiaotong's creation. Teacher Zhang Shouzhi, Mr. Yuan Ningfu, Li Ziyuan from Shandong, Liu Lizhong from Hebei, Chen Wenzeng from Longquan and Xu Chaoxing all gave selfless help to Mr. Jin Xiaotong's creation.

1990 Jin Xiaotong's "Big Sunflower Furnace" came out with great momentum. It was exhibited in Beijing during the Asian Games and published in various Jun porcelain books and periodicals. More than 30 works by Jin Xiaotong 1996 and 1998 were selected for Hong Kong International Jun Porcelain Exhibition and Osaka International Jun Porcelain Exhibition respectively. After that, Jin Xiaotong's "Straightened Inscription" went to new york to participate in the "East-West Artists Exchange Exhibition". From 200/kloc-0 to 2003, at the invitation of Yang Tonghuan, director of Beijing Institute of Arts and Crafts, he copied 72 pieces of ceramic cultural relics for Shandong Museum, involving ancient pottery, primitive porcelain, tricolor, Han Qing, Qin, Han, Tang and Song dynasties and many other porcelain varieties. In April 2003, Jinjiajun Kiln Studio was established. In the same year, he was elected as the director of China Ceramic Industry Association. In 2008, Jin Xiaotong's hand-painted Petunia bottle won the gold medal in the Hong Kong International Ceramics Competition and was collected by the British National Treasure Museum. In the same year, he was elected vice president of Hong Kong International Ceramic Art Research Institute and vice president of Hong Kong International Ceramic Artists Association. In 2009, the National Museum of China once again collected Jin Xiaotong's wood-fired Jun porcelain "Milk Nail Pot". Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works over the years, such as Feng 'er Pipa Bottle, Celestial Bottle, Taiping Zun and Sunflower Zun, are regarded as the classics of contemporary Jun porcelain and collected by many domestic museums and libraries. Mr. Jin Xiaotong has become a recognized rising star in the field of Jun porcelain, the pillar of the middle-aged echelon and the firecracker of Jun porcelain culture and art.

Jin Xiaotong is not only engaged in the artistic creation of Jun porcelain, but also devoted to the cultural accumulation and research of modern, contemporary and ancient ceramic art. Up to now, he has completed many academic monographs on Jun porcelain and ceramics, such as Talking about Jun Kiln and Exploring the Origin of Jun Kiln and China Ceramic Art.
