Yu's life

Yu 1909 was born on September 6th in Qingxi Village, futian town, Shangli County, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. Grandfather Yu was an academician of the former Qing Dynasty, and father Yu Xiangping was a juren in the late Qing Dynasty. Under the influence of the new trend of thought, I went to Japan alone and studied at Waseda University. Several aunts can write poems, paintings and calligraphy. So she was edified from an early age. When she was a child, she chewed three-character classics and hundreds of surnames. After entering a private school, she followed her husband to read four books and five classics. Later, the family sent her to Pingxiang county primary school and graduated from high school. Because of her talented voice, she is excellent in music lessons from primary school to middle school.

1925 After living in Nanchang with her family, she was admitted to Nanchang No.1 Normal School for Women.

1927 graduated from Nanchang No.1 Women's Normal School and moved to Shanghai with her family in the late autumn of the same year;

1in the spring of 928, he was admitted to the private Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (now Nanjing Art Institute) where Mr. Liu Haisu was the principal to study piano.

He studied under Russian drama soprano Slaoui Annov and director of vocal music group Mr. Zhou Shuan. After a period of hard training, he strengthened his belief in taking music as his lifelong career.

1933 As one of the first graduates of the third session of Shanghai National Conservatory of Music, he successfully held a graduation concert and taught in the Music Department of Nanjing National Central University after graduation.

1934 spring, worked as a teaching assistant in the Music Department of Nanjing National Central University;

From 1946 to 1948, many solo concerts were held in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Changzhi, Chengdu, Chongqing, Lanzhou, Xinjiang and Hong Kong.

1autumn 1948 to1autumn 1949, at the invitation of UNESCO, he visited France, Britain, Italy, Switzerland and other countries for music education, and held personal concerts in Paris and London.

1949 10 he returned to the embrace of new China and started a glorious page in his artistic career. One month after returning home, he was invited to sing in Huairentang, and was cordially received by Zhou Enlai and other party and state leaders.

1954, as a member of the second to sixth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference;

1957 went to Moscow to attend the 6th World Young Students' Festival and served as the judge of the vocal competition. In the same year, he went to Moscow to attend the 40th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Soviet Union.

1960 went to Germany as a judge of Schumann International Vocal Music Competition in Berlin.

1960 was elected as a member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles;

196 1, served as the vice president of the Central Conservatory of Music;

1979 10 the central conservatory of music held a memorial concert in her honor to celebrate the 30th anniversary of teaching music education in new China.

1983 was hired as a member of the editorial board of the encyclopedia of China and served as the editor-in-chief of the vocal music writing group;

1985 was elected as the consultant of China Musicians Association;

On June 8, 2008, the professor died in Beijing at the age of 99.
