Xuchang bus station is a passenger center station, located at the intersection of Qiyi Road and Yingchang Avenue, opposite the railway station. It is the earliest passenger bus station established in Xuchang. Originally under the direct control of Henan Provincial Bureau, it was later placed under the management of Xuchang City and renamed as Xuchang Regional Transportation Company. In 2000, the state-owned enterprise was reformed into individual ownership, and now it is called Wan Li Transportation Company.
There are five long-distance bus stations in Yichang, namely, the coach station opposite Xuchang Railway Station, Xuchang West Bus Station at the intersection of Yan 'an Road and Huatuo Road, Xuchang North Bus Station at the intersection of Yongchang Road and Wenfeng North Road, South Bus Station at the west section of Xinxing Road, and Xuchang Long-distance Bus Station south of Xuchang East High-speed Railway Station.

Xuchang, formerly known as Xuzhou, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province. It is a regional central city of Zhongyuan urban agglomeration, a transportation and logistics hub city of Zhongyuan Economic Zone, an important advanced manufacturing base in China, and a famous historical and cultural city in Han and Wei Dynasties. It is located in the middle of Henan Province, bordering Zhoukou City in the east, Luohe City in the south, Pingdingshan City in the west, Zhengzhou City in the north and Kaifeng City in the northeast.
