Zhengzhou University of Economics and Business, formerly known as School of Information and Business, Zhongyuan University of Technology, was established in April 2003 and transferred to Zhengzhou University of Economics and Business on June 30, 2020. It is an independent private college at the undergraduate level, headed by the Henan Provincial Department of Education.
The school's existing disciplines cover six major disciplines: management, economics, engineering, art, literature and law. There are 46 undergraduate majors and 29 specialist majors, gradually forming a development pattern of "one body and two wings" with economic management as the main body and intelligent manufacturing, computer and artificial intelligence, art design and media as the two wings.
At present, there are 3 key construction disciplines in Henan Province, 6 provincial-level first-class undergraduate majors, 9 provincial-level private universities' discipline construction funded projects 10, 4 provincial-level private universities' brand majors, 4 professional comprehensive reform pilot majors, 2 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, 3 provincial-level virtual simulation experimental teaching projects and 5 provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses10.

The school is based in Zhengzhou, facing Henan, radiating the Central Plains, serving the regional economic and social development, adhering to the school-running philosophy of "service-oriented, employment-oriented, brand-building with characteristics, and quality development", and actively implementing the strategies of "developing the school with quality", "strengthening the school with talents" and "developing the school with science and technology".

The award-winning level and quantity are among the best among similar universities in our province.
