What is information flow?

Logistics term-information flow refers to the spread and flow of information, which is a moving image of logistics process. Information flow is divided into three processes: collection, transmission and processing.

The broad definition of information flow refers to people's information exchange in various ways, from face-to-face direct conversation to the adoption of various modern media, including information collection, transmission, processing, storage, retrieval, analysis and other channels and processes.

Information flow in a narrow sense refers to the flow of information in computer systems and communication networks in the process of information processing from the perspective of research, development and application of modern information technology.

A simple way to evaluate the success of an enterprise is to look at its logistics, workflow and information flow, in which the quality, speed and coverage of information flow can "reflect" the quality of enterprise production, management and decision-making. Because logistics and workflow are presented in the "life activities" of enterprises in the "advanced form" of information flow, just as all activities of organisms are based on bioelectrical signals transmitted by nervous system. Therefore, a deep understanding of "information flow" will open a new perspective for enterprise development.
