Third, the handling process
1: Submission
Provide relevant materials and fill in the registration form for applying for resident identity card at the processing point.
Step 2 take photos and press fingerprints
(1) Take standard photos of resident ID cards and collect fingerprints.
(2) Some cities can accept two photos that meet the standards.
Step 3 get an ID card
The applicant shall collect it at the acceptance point with the Resident Identity Card.
If I can't go to the acceptance point to collect it, please consult the local police station for specific collection and mailing services.
Four. Processing time and cost
The first application is free;
The processing time is less than 60 days, and the extension time in inaccessible areas is not more than 30 days, which is subject to the time marked on the receipt.
Children must agree to apply for identity cards, and their parents need to accompany them during the process;
Children's clothes must be dark, not light, and absolutely not white, because the background color of ID card photos is white;
When you apply for your child's ID card, you must bring your child's household registration book and your parents' ID card. If you are a student, you must also bring your school registration certificate.
How long is the validity of the child's ID card?
Children's ID cards are valid for 5 years.
Legal basis: Article 7 of the National Identity Card Law of People's Republic of China (PRC): A citizen shall, within three months from the date of reaching the age of 16, apply to the public security organ where his permanent residence is located for a resident identity card. Citizens under the age of 16 shall apply for resident identity cards by guardians.
