Development history of grape bagging

With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, green and pollution-free fruits are the common requirements of people. Grape bagging technology has been paid more and more attention and applied. Practice has proved that bagging grapes can prevent birds, insects, diseases, dust and pesticide pollution, improve the surface smoothness of fruits, and improve the appearance and commodity value of grapes. The Ministry of Agriculture also listed fruit bagging technology as one of the top ten promotion technologies, and Shandong, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Yunnan, Gansu and other places also vigorously promoted grape bagging technology in rural areas.

Fruit bagging has a long history. In the 1940s, in Yantai, Dalian and other apple producing areas, books, papers and newspapers were wrapped on apples to prevent insects. In 1980s, in order to produce apples for export, Shandong, Liaoning and other places first introduced disease-resistant and insect-resistant fruit bags from abroad, tried them on apples and popularized them in a small area, which had obvious control effects on apple diseases. The fruit produced met the requirements of green food and was successful, and then the fruit bagging technology developed rapidly in China. In view of the successful experience of bagging cultivation in foreign countries and other fruit trees, bagging experiments were carried out on high-efficiency grape varieties such as Heiti and Hongti, and they were successful, which attracted the attention of grape research and production units in China and formed the climax of research and popularization of bagging cultivation technology from the end of the 20th century to the beginning of the 20th century. From 1990s to the beginning of 20th century, the third development climax of grape industry in China was formed. Late-maturing Eurasian grapes, represented by Red Globe, are widely spread all over China, and the matching fruit bagging technology is also promoted all over the country, which is accepted and recognized by the majority of grape growers, and gradually applied to European and American hybrid grape varieties with strong disease resistance, such as Jufeng and Hutai No.8. There are many kinds of grape bagging, which can be divided into newspaper bag, wood pulp wax paper bag, pure wood pulp paper bag, plastic film bag, non-woven bag and sunshine grape bag according to texture. When we choose grape bagging, we should consider the local climatic conditions, grape varieties, grape bagging specifications and production purposes.
