This book tells me that perhaps the more important reason is not this, but the logical problem of thinking. I didn't make it clear. The most important thing is that I didn't think clearly.
The author of this book is barbara minto. She graduated from Harvard University and worked in McKinsey & Company. She was the first female consultant of the company.
Everything can be summed up as a central argument, which can be supported by 3-7 arguments, and these arguments themselves can be supported by 3-7 arguments ... This repetition forms the golden posture structure. This is the golden pyramid principle of the parameters in the book.
1) Get to the point first. When the brain understands a conclusion, it will automatically summarize the following information under this argument. I really need to pay attention to this. People often talk without focus. After talking for a long time, others can't figure out what you are talking about, which leads to a great blow to yourself and others.
2) There are no more than 7 supporting arguments for each argument, because the brain cannot remember more than 7 arguments.
3) Every argument must have written content.
The argument should be clear and clear, so that you can understand what you are saying when you look at others.
The golden pyramid principle expounds expression, so how to organize more than seven arguments.
It can be organized in several logical sequences.
1) chronological order: organized in chronological order.
2) spatial order: that is, the structural order, such as by region and by department.
3) order of importance: for example, in the order of old, weak, sick and disabled.
4) Logical deduction: three stages of inference, such as everyone will die, Socrates is a man, so Socrates will die.
This is an organizational argument. The expression of views is centered first and then summarized, top-down, or bottom-up, but I think it is easy to confuse others if it is not well organized.
All arguments must conform to MECE's law, CE means exhausting reasons, and ME is independent of each other. In other words, the following supported parameters are completely covered and cannot overlap.
If you want others to be interested in your point of view, you must tell a story to explain your point of view. After listening to many masters' speeches, they all came calmly and elegantly. This kind of storytelling method is SCQ method.
1, s refers to the situation: the event and place where the event happened. Let's first introduce the background that everyone agrees with.
2.c refers to conflict: what happens in the middle, whether a problem can attract others' attention depends on the design of the conflict.
3.q refers to the question: What questions does the reader have to make others listen?
1, logic is the foundation of all thinking ability, and you should think calmly and seriously without prejudice.
2. Pyramid structure is a problem of classification and correlation, and its parameters should be no more than 7.
3. Every supporting argument should be independent and completely exhausted.
4. Use SCQ method to stimulate curiosity and continue reading.
5, insufficient, these are all based on a causal relationship, but this relationship is not necessarily appropriate.
