Jilin Electronic Information Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college in Jilin Province registered by the Ministry of Education. It is also the first batch of "going out" pilot colleges of vocational education in non-ferrous metal industry in China, demonstration vocational colleges in Jilin Province, project construction unit of modern vocational education reform and development demonstration school in Jilin Province, high-level vocational colleges with characteristics in Jilin Province, and project construction unit of professional groups.
The school was founded in 1964, formerly known as "Jilin Nonferrous Metals Industry School", and later called "Jilin Secondary Technical School of China Gold Mining Company" (referred to as "Golden School"). 1970 was renamed as "Jilin Metallurgical Industry School", and was independently upgraded to higher vocational and technical college in 2002.
