Brief introduction of Fenghuang Street Cultural Station in Fenghuang Street

Phoenix Street Cultural Station was established in February 2002. In 2007, it was rated as a provincial-level cultural station by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture.

The cultural station has three full-time staff. It has three cultural squares and a cultural activity center with a total area of over 10000 square meters, namely Huolushan Park, Yinpailing Park and Fish Beach. The Cultural Activity Center is located at No.88 Yudong Road in the northeast of Tianhe District, with a total area of about 2,000 square meters. There are library, reading room, dance room and information room 12 function rooms. The library has more than 0/8000 volumes of books, and is equipped with a perfect computer lending system and network information service system. The Cultural Station invested a total of 1 10,000 yuan to purchase office supplies, performances, training, exhibitions, stereos, projectors and other equipment.

The Cultural Station has carried out a series of related cultural activities featuring "Hakka folk songs". In June 2004, "Fenghuang Street Hakka Folk Song Association" was established with more than 80 members. Five times a month, Hakka folk songs "Gexu" activities are held in different Gexu, and lectures and performances of Hakka folk songs are held. Combined with the actual street work, a series of activities with the theme of "singing the city" were carried out, such as "creating civilization, welcoming the Asian Games" and "Hakka folk songs praising honesty", which were deeply loved and welcomed by residents. Phoenix Street Art Troupe was established in March, 2005. It has 12 art team and 8 folk art teams, and integrates cultural resources such as dance company, choir, drama club, wind band, ballet team, rhythmic gymnastics team and Hakka folk dance. Hold cultural performances such as Spring Festival, May 4th, July 1st, National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, New Year's Day, folk song contest and various folk art performances; Since 2005, the Hakka folk song contest has been held for eight consecutive years, and the Hakka folk songs in Fenghuang area have been selected as "the king of songs" and "the queen of songs". He has successively won the bronze award in the first national Hakka folk song contest, the best creation award in the national peasant bookstore speech contest, the bronze award in the Hakka folk song invitational tournament in eight provinces, the silver award in the second folk song art festival in Guangdong Province, and the silver award in the "Baizan China" mass singing contest in Guangdong Province. 20 10 10 was reported by CCTV news channel "Asian Games and Me". In the same year, it was named "Top Ten Characteristic Streets in Guangzhou" by the Propaganda Department of Guangzhou Municipal Committee and the Propaganda Department of the Organizing Committee of 16 Asian Games. It is famous for its beautiful natural scenery, lively and melodious folk songs and markets, unique Hakka ancestral halls and unique flavor.
