Xuzhou Institute of Education is a normal college named by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and approved by the Ministry of Education. Established on 1959. Since its founding 47 years ago, it has trained more than 70,000 primary and secondary school teachers and various professionals who adapt to the social and economic development in northern Jiangsu, which not only supports half of Xuzhou's general education, but also makes great contributions to rejuvenating the country through science and education and promoting local economic and social development.

Nanhu Campus is located at the foot of the lush Yunlong Mountain, by the beautiful Yunlong Lake, while the new campus is located in the higher vocational gathering area of Xuzhou New Town, next to the vast and magnificent Dalongkou Reservoir, adjacent to the Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway, Lianhuo Expressway and the planned Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, with a total area of 600 mu.
