Looking back, Gusu is a white cloud.

The vision of traveling all over the beautiful land in the south of the Yangtze River may have been shared by everyone who yearns for a water town. Everyone says that Jiangnan is good, but it seems that it is not an appropriate feeling for tourists to just join the old tune of Jiangnan. Time has passed, and I can't bear to think about whether the scenery of the small bridge is no longer the same. If there is still no real image of Suzhou in the past memory, or it is still a hazy picture like a postcard or ink painting, it is better to embark on a trip to the south of the Yangtze River and make a real observation. Perhaps let go of all hearsay doubts and simply cherish the yearning for fresh images in poetry. Perhaps the dream of water town love is not too far away. As for the photos of people sleeping on the river, I'm afraid I can't see them until Gusu.

-Piano Boy "Summer Green"

Spring water is brighter than the sky, painting boats and listening to rain. Most of the Jiangnan in the poem is spring, and the scenery is warm. If you come to Suzhou in an annoying summer, the summer heat will not disappear, and the street outside will always be sweaty and messy, with hair scattered on your forehead, which is hard to know. At this time, if you stroll along the tree-lined path in the ancient town, the situation is completely different. There are many small bridges in the water lane, and natural rivers can be seen everywhere, and the coolness is always pervasive.

Among the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, Mudu is the closest to Gusu City. If you just walk along the river after entering, you don't have to cross the first Xiangxi Bridge. The water in Xiangxi flows down from Lingyan Mountain. According to legend, this river has a unique fragrance. Because of the water bathed by stones, it is named Xiangxi.

Yong 'an Bridge can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty at the earliest. Unlike Xi 'an Bridge and Zhuanxiang Bridge, there are obvious signs of renovation, so is Xishi Bridge. Its bridge is covered with green vines, the bridge deck is covered with many stones, and grass leaves grow in the gaps. Trees by the river cover the sky, and houses and shops are hidden in the cracks of branches and leaves. On both sides of the narrow alley, all kinds of businesses and houses are generally by the river. The eaves and blue-black tiles are reflected in the water, and the wooden boat will open the mirror image when passing by.

When night falls, it will be more pleasant to walk in the alleys of several Du shepherds. However, if you wander the streets in order to wait for the night view, it is somewhat inappropriate. Because mudu night is not as bright as the rock door. Imagine thousands of lights, maybe Nanxun is the best place to go. However, the lingering charm of small bridges and flowing water in Jiangnan water town is enough to get a more authentic taste.

-Bi Cheng's Plum Rain.

Lingyanshan and Mudu ancient town are only separated by a street. It seems that in the rainy season, the green plums are obviously yellow, and the gloomy sky surrounds the whole Lingyan Mountain. The peaks are slightly low and gentle, but they are full of green and rich, like green city walls on display. If you want to hear the tranquility in the green, you may have to go up the mountain.

There are stone steps on the mountain road. It won't be difficult. It's just another secluded forest path, but I happened to find it when I went down the mountain. Visitors who are eager to overlook the scenery below the mountain will be divided into three levels. Walking to a rock without shelter on the cliff, standing on it when no one is around, you can see the edge of Taihu Lake not far from the sky, and the dense water vapor reveals a bit of ink charm.

In the lonely Hanshan Temple outside Suzhou, the bell that rang in the middle of the night reached the passenger ship. In the memory of temporary guests, a canoe moored at Qiao Feng Bridge at night is enough for Hanshan Temple to keep their impression of Suzhou Temple. Lingyanshan Temple, located on Lingyanshan Mountain, has poems written by Zhang Hu in the Tang Dynasty, but it is obviously a different situation. However, after all, I don't know. After all, there are many allusions about Wu Wang and Xi Zi on Lingyan Mountain.

Lingyanshan Temple is located halfway up the mountain. Although the mountain is not high, most travelers are a little tired. At this time, they can rest in front of a temple near Lingyanshan Temple. Occasionally turn around, maybe you can see a slender young monk coming out of the wooden door that is gradually opening. If you are lucky, you may be invited to enter a temple closed to tourists, have a few cups of tea and blow a cool breeze, which may relieve the fatigue of climbing before. Although the old monks know well the reputation of Hanshan Temple, they don't forget to recommend Lingyanshan Temple. So when I climbed out of the temple, I vaguely saw the yellow wall between the dense leaves of the mountain forest, which was Lingyan Temple. Seeing ancient wells, rocks, towers and temples, my yearning for Hanshan Temple is no longer so urgent. The temple system has the style of Suzhou gardens, which makes people yearn for the latter more and more.

The resentment of national subjugation, empty doors and no worries, can not help but envy the leisure of monks who relax their branches every day. Gusutai has disappeared like a calligraphy. If it were you and me, we would be just like the disciples of Lingyan Temple. The wind of the subjugation of the prince of Wu has already been blowing.

The river in Tongli is not green, although it is only because of a rain. In a short time, the water surface rose to the height close to the bluestone pavement, and the rain could only wash the leaves green, but the river was muddy and dark.

When I arrived in Tongli, it was too bright and the climate was quite hot. Sweating often wets my clothes. Sunny days do not show bright blue, but are full of hazy blue-gray tones, which are invisible. The green river is like a jade belt. From time to time, there are wooden boats passing by on the water, and the water is bright.

In summer, peach trees grow purple leaves, which are thick and shady. Many wooden boats are moored here, showing the arrangement of petals. Walking along the stone steps to the river, the shoes dipped in the river are slightly cold.

When I boarded the wooden boat, I felt a wish. Most of the punters are middle-aged Suzhou women, dressed in dark blue and white coats, rocking the paddles skillfully. They can not only play in the water, but also shoulder the responsibilities of tour guides. Because most of them are familiar with water towns, they will make a brief introduction to every famous arch bridge or celebrity's former residence, with a soft Suzhou accent in their voices.

Most wooden boats will pass through Tongli Third Bridge, namely Taiping Bridge, Geely Bridge and cheung tsing bridge. These three bridges are not far apart. Although walking hand in hand is the best way to cross the bridge, it seems that crossing the running water by boat is a bit like taking the third bridge. Often every time you cross bridge opening, it's like being in another time and space, and the color of the river is a little brighter. At this time, if an old couple cross this bridge, they will conclude in their hearts that they must cross the third bridge.

There are many pavilions and pavilions in the water town, as well as Wu's orchestra. Every family has wine, and the boat has nowhere to cross. Many people in the ancient town no longer live a simple life in the past, and punting is no longer purely for their own enjoyment. Strolling along the old street along the Yangtze River, most of the houses passing by are commercial shops. Suzhou people will always stand by and attract guests in inns and restaurants, whether in Mudu or in Tongli, an ancient town.

On the white mottled wall, there are several oil-paper umbrellas hanging under the eaves. The open umbrella is painted with ink landscapes or hibiscus, the unopened oil-paper umbrella is neatly displayed on the windowsill, and the red ribbon hanging on the umbrella handle swings slightly with the wind. This is a shop called Yuyan Pavilion in Tongli. The shops are small, but they are cleverly decorated with oil-paper umbrellas, which has a unique charm of Jiangnan.

People who are in a hurry are mostly temporary guests of Gusu. Only the old man took a leisurely walk in the bridge building by the river. When you are tired, stop under the pavilions, take a break and watch the ships moored in the river, and the branches and leaves of willows brush in front of your eyes. Busy people toss and turn in front of platforms and lights. When waiting for the bus, they seem to lean against the wall of the garden. But it is customary to look up at the eaves gallery, and newcomers will do this.

In the long quiet alley, the bluestone pavement was slightly burned by the summer sunshine, and few people would walk in such a remote alley. From the corner of the alley, you can often see the old people in the town, comfortably leaning on wooden chairs. Young people have the pursuit of young people, and the elderly have the persistence of the elderly.

If Mudu and Tongli are not enough to fully outline your vision of the ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River, Pingjiang Road may be another good place besides Luzhi. The style of the ancient city of Gusu is no less than that of any ancient town. If you are tired, you can also go to the bookstore by the river and sit for a while. The window surrounded by vines on the second floor can still see green rivers and stone bridges, as well as ships coming and going.

-Yukie Nishimura's The Direction of Tao.

Go straight from Pingjiang Road and pass the former site of Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, which is the direction to Lion Grove and Humble Administrator's Garden. Exploring the secluded places to win, rockeries and stone forests can be seen everywhere. Cicadas sing and locusts rain, and fish scatter the wind, which is naturally suitable for summer scenery. When I was in Lingyanshan Temple, I was already longing for Suzhou gardens, and the appreciation of singing around the stone trees was enough to make people dazzle.

Bamboo leaves are green, bright and dazzling against the white wall, standing quietly in the depths of the alley. The garden gate is extremely round, and the rockery and the bottom of the trunk are reflected in this round frame, just like a framed picture frame. Entering from the garden gate of the visiting or winning party, you can see that the rockery lion is crawling, facing several bamboos and a plum tree in front of the powder wall, which is slightly docile.

There is a lake in the garden, which can be reached through a low rockery. But the rockery is short and interesting. Entering from the lowest hole, after several twists and turns, up or down, occasionally sporadic light is reflected from the scattered hole. Looking out along the hole, you can see the green lotus leaves on the lake and the white or red landscape fish in the water. Walking out of the hole, the light outside is a bit dazzling, and you will feel as if you have walked through several mountains. Looking down through a low stone bridge at the top of the rockery, the rocks protruding from the lake are like islands. The winding stone bridge connects the two banks of the lake, and the lotus leaves are naturally dotted on the lake. The pavilion is covered with vines and green leaves, and the resting tourists are seated.

On one side of the lake, there is a boat-shaped viewing pavilion. If you climb to the top of the lion forest, you will hear that you are drifting across the lake alone. There are rockeries, waterside pavilions and many other landscapes in the lake, which are well known. Although the lion grove is small, it is not uncommon to meet people asking about the exit of the garden on the way. Don't be glad, maybe you will feel strange when you want to come out for the second time. If you still want to appreciate the charm of Humble Administrator's Garden or Lingering Garden, please visit Suzhou!

? Where to go when you have no dreams is different for everyone. A stranger who is infatuated with the ancient town of Jiangnan, although longing for the ink painting in the poem, should not easily listen to the feeling that the ancients only lived in Jiangnan. After years of circulation, even the colors of poems and paintings will fade. Antique buildings and antique shops are just a medium to restore the impression of Jiangnan. There is no need to be overly disappointed. The significance of traveling is just to find a poetic context and feel it with your heart.
