Pingjiang road
Pingjiang Road is an old historical street in Suzhou. This is a path along the river called Jiang. Suzhou, also known as Pingjiang in Song and Yuan Dynasties, was named Lu. It is connected to the Humble Administrator's Garden in the north and the Twin Towers in the south. With a total length of1606m, it is a classic water lane with a long history in Suzhou.
Connected vertically to Pingjiang Road are many narrow streets and lanes, such as Shilin Temple Lane, Fang Chuan Lane, Donghua Bridge Lane, Caohu Xu Xiang Lane, Daxinqiao Lane, Weidaoguanqian Lane, Zhongzhangjia Lane, Daru Lane, Jony J Lane and Niujia Lane. There may be a long story behind every name. The alley is surrounded by high walls and winding paths, which is quite artistic. I wonder how many private gardens are hidden in the high wall. Gardens pay attention to the separation of city and garden, and the common people shield them. However, it also shows the other side of Suzhou life. Street life and other folk houses in Qing Dynasty have always been the soul of Suzhou cultural space. Elegant and lofty literati taste naturally refines Suzhou's spiritual temperament, and the aesthetic taste of "hiding in the city" also needs fireworks.

Zhongwangfu
Out of the new museum is the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Loyalty Hall. The former site of Zhongyifu is located in the northeast street of Suzhou, which mainly includes offices, mansions and gardens. It was a luxurious mansion built by Li Zhongjun during his reign of1June 2, 860 (1April 23, 949) to1June 863. Li Xiucheng once called the kings of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom to hold two military meetings in the main hall of Zhong Yifu to command the Taiping Army.
In the past, you had to buy a ticket to enter Zhongwang House, but now it is part of the new museum. There is the largest indoor ancient stage in the south of the Yangtze River and the famous woody plant wisteria planted by hand in Wen Zhiming in the Ming Dynasty.
Suzhou Museum
Suzhou Museum is divided into three parts. Part of the center is the entrance, hall and museum garden; The west is the exhibition area; It is an oriental modern art gallery, educational facilities, tea service and administrative functions. This part will also be the actual passage connecting Zhong Yi Palace. The loyal palace will be restored to its original appearance. Because it is difficult to provide suitable exhibition space under the existing structure, it will be used as a window to display its rich architectural heritage, as well as furniture, sculptures and other works of art that usually do not need high-grade exhibition space.
Shantang Street
Among many streets in Suzhou, Shantang Street, a famous scenic spot, is known as "the first street in Suzhou". I think there are several reasons: First, Shantang Street is an ancient street with a history of 1 100 years; Second, its pattern has the characteristics that can best represent the streets and lanes of Suzhou; Third, it is related to many famous people and things.
Shantang Street can be divided into east and west sections. The eastern section is from Nagato only bridge to Bantang bridge. Most of these lots are shops and houses, and all kinds of shops live next to each other. In the eastern section, Xingqiao is the most prosperous area. The west section of Shantang Street refers to Bantang Bridge to Huqiu Mountain. This section is approaching the suburbs, and the river is wider than the eastern section. The riverside is either tree-lined and lush, or full of green has cottages and wild boats. There are scenic spots such as Puji Bridge and Yefangbang, as well as historical sites such as "Five Tomb" and "Gexian Tomb".
